Our final kiss is our best memory
It's the last moment of togetherness
That we will ever have
I kiss his angelic face
He asks me,
"What was that for?"
I smile,
"I want to be the last person to kiss you,
before I kill you."
He turns around and sits on the bed
He looks up at me through watery eyes,
"Why must it be like this?"
A moment of silence occurs
When finally I let out a hard breath
And I relax next to him,
"I know how hard it's been lately.
But you have to know that things do pass
And it will all be better soon."
He just shook his head in disbelief
And turned away
I grabbed his hand and cried with him
2 hours went by
When I woke up
To find myself being sheltered in his arms
This was the only time that I had ever felt safe
I felt protected from any danger coming my way
I nudge him,
"Honey, its 6:00. It's time for me to go."
He smiles and leans in to kiss me
But this kiss was different
It had more feeling in it
The way he held me
The way his lips touched mine
I could tell he was making it special
I look up at him,
"What was that for?"
He answers,
"I want to be the last person to kiss you,
before I kill you."
I walk out the door without one word
I say to myself,
"I'm already dead on the inside,
How could you kill me anymore?"

Awe this poem is a bit depressing. I have once felt like this. It sucks to feel like this and it sucks things have to end but it ended with a kiss.. and that's the best memory a person could have when it comes to something like this. I think this had much emotion in it. It was very sad and like i said up above a bit depressing but I still thinks its a little sweet. My favortie part of this whole thing was:
"What was that for?"

I say to myself,

How could you kill me anymore?"
This part had much emotion and was expressed very well. I think this had the more powerful words in it. I think it was an amazing piece of write and it shows you have been hurt but you are strong about it. Great write mandy.

this is awsome. i had a somewhat close experience like this. anyway . it flowed , it had meaning. it had love, sad,depressing moments. and so on and so fourth. lol
