Real

Falling into my own reflection,
Showing all my fears,
As I fall into emptiness,
Not able to hide my tears.

Comfort surrounds me,
As I dont have to feel,
Dont have to think,
Where nothing is real.

Falling further into my reflection,
Seeing all the lies,
I see no hope there,
I see no love in those eyes.

Suddenly I snap back to this world,
And cry as I can feel,
Everything I hated,
Everything that's real.

Wow that was very beautiful, short but had such emotional imagery..reminds me of how i often feel, the last two lines were the most powerful as much pain and emotion can be felt, you are very talented, thank you for the silver, i enjoyed entering your contest and that entry shall forever remain there....dd..x

That was a very strong poem. Brilliant write. I loved the last two lines, they matched perfectly. I really like the feeling, the vision in my head this poem creates. Like the second stanza. Really good.

    great!! - loved it!!

WOW!! - what a powerful, honest and well-crafted piece that took me by surpise! i thoroughly enjoyed this as though it could be waking up and facing the real "us" - could be coming out of our own self-induced comas of protection and finally seeing the real truth - could be an expression of the self-hate we have sometimes - and more times at certain points of our life...so many things can come from this...and i absolutely love that kind of piece!! i may have missed it all and be totally wrong...but that's the great part of it...you gave an "open-board"...yet with a clear and distinct message of self-examination ...(i think...lol).

anyway...just thoroughly enjoyed. thank you for a wonderful piece and all the best to you.................Lionslove
(will give applause next time....out of points..lol)

    Excellent

Well done moonlight. I like your expressions of falling into your own reflection and then snapping back into reality. I can feel your sadness and deep emotions. Keep looking to the future things will get better. Sadly some of my best poems are when I'm depressed. I guess it shows your true inner feelings about things that have happened in your life. Keep writing your poems they are beautiful
