I love the concept of this work. I admit I had conflict over how to judge it as part of the contest because my idea was that words would be the carriers of the poem's musicality.

So, after thinking about this for awhile, I decided that coherence isn't the thing, music is, and with that I let go of my attachment to words & was able to enjoy both words, fragments & the music.

The music reminds me of this atonal music I had to listen to for a Modernism class. Very cool sound.

This works for me in the spirit of experiment & avant-garde deconstruction of old forms to create new ones.

  I guess the question of your judgement is, did the music talk to the poetry? and I would say not only yes, but it had an undue influence here... completely unraveling the words!
  Yes, the music is 'avant garde', but I do like coherent phrases that emotions/images can be tied to, in spite of using non-conforming chords. To me, notes and words are superficial- people and emotions look for relationships within a piece, the little decision made, regardless of the content or package... hey- you got me to think, five stars for that!
