Peek-A-boo, I see you!

Have you lost your "Muse" well where did it go?
you still have it, just let your mind flow.
Take a look outside and what do you see?
maybe a flowing stream or a blowing tree.

Close your eyes and feel through the air,
smile my friend, it hasn't gone anywhere.
Your trying too hard to make something rhyme,
take a deep breath and give it some time.

Go to your backyard and garden for awhile,
it will give you time to think and surely smile.
Take a walk to the corner and gaze around,
see whats going on around you, get rid of that frown.

You would be surprised at where it is at,
try looking alittle harder, it's right under your hat.
I'm sorry your feeling bad for what it is worth,
but your "Muse" has been with you since your birth.

Haha! You made the missing muse dilemma light and fun in this poem. And, I love the idea about going outside into the garden, I love being outside in the yard and garden! I was just sitting here watching the birds, it's actually a warm and sunny here today, a nice change from the freezing and snow we've been having!

This is such a delightful poem.
A call to turn to nature and ponder in its embrace, such a romantic approach to the "Writer's block" issue.
It is beautifully written, the rhyme added a musical effect to it and the Title is eye catching.

"Go to your backyard and garden for awhile,

    Beautiful lines.
    Best of luck

This is a cool poem. You brought out a lot of truth. Sometimes if you think too hard to make it sound right you lose your muse. Trust me!!! I know this all to well. Keep up the awesome poetry!!!

Absolutely lovely. The background alone started the wheels turning And -for me at least- carries an important message. Our muse isn't something we earn it's something we are. great job!

This is a good inspirational poem. I like the way it flows. The last line kinda tripped me up a bit. i don't know if it's because there isn't a comma in there, or what. And just as a suggestion, maybe you could change 'ever since birth' with 'and has been since birth'... or something. BUT That's just a suggestion from me, and I've never claimed to be a professional!

    Thanks for sharing!

    Lovely

Very inspiring, you know where to go for a fresh poem to flow. Thank you for being encourageing and loving to people you do not know. we are all one a family of poets who have had their painful moments but choose to ignore and push away all that hurt. So we have heartfulls of love to share and write. Your poem is very good it flows so nicely, yes sometimes our muse does leave, but what I've found that it comes back ten-fold when you are doing what you heart believes to be true to oneself. God Bless you...

Good poem. Quite inspiring. If this doesn't give her back her muse, I don't know what will. Good luck in the contest.

    Applause

I liked this poem, especially because it serves as a reminder to us all that we can find inspiration almost everywhere. And that we only have to be able to see that inspiration whenever it comes by

Very well written and a good flow

    Adorable!

Beautiful! Yes, our muse is always with us, isn't it? 'Tis a mystery as to why it sometimes 'goes to sleep' or fails to move the poet's pen on the paper; but it does. Inspiration; yes, 'eye candy'! It does feed the spirit, doesn't it? Not just the eyes, though. Sight, sound, smell, every sense can wake up our muse; enlighten our spirit.

This is such a lovely write. I love it. My muse is in desperate need of something right now. She is in bad shape But then, she can't do anything with someone constantly looking over her shoulder. Unfortunately, I have a 'hacker situation' and I just can't write with someone watching me 24/7.

    Tons of blessings and s
