Thank You, Mom.

Thank you, mom, for raising me.
I know it must have been tough.
I’d give you the world in return
But it could never be enough.

A wonderful tribute to a mother. Raising children is a tough job but one that is well worth it. Beautifully written.

So short yet more meaningful than any long poem could ever express. This is beautiful and I am so glad that you have that special bond and appreciation with your mother. I know how close you are to her, she's your hero and I have no doubt that she feels that love and appreciation that you so compassionately have for her, its undying

    Love you,

    Sara

Thanks, Val. I gave it to her on Mother's Day with her other presents. She liked it, but my mom is pretty easy to please. She appreciates even the smallest gestures. Thanks for all your kind words. You're right - she is precious to me, and my appreciation for her is immeasurable. I hope you had a nice Mother's Day, too.

Mark, your words convey the very feelings of a child that cherishes the gift that was given him by someone so special. Although it was a gift, it is always nice to know that you have kept it in mind that it is precious and that it should not be taken for granted. Not only did you receive a gift but also did your mother, she received your kindness and love in return, unconditionally. No matter the hardships that she may have had she knew that you still loved her and in these simple words that you have written you have penetrated her heart once again I am sure of it. I hope that she gets a chance to read your words for you have definately written them upon her heart. Great write here sweetie, keep it up as I know you will. Hugs to you, val

So much to evoke within few words of wisdom...indeed captures that feeling of gratefulness and admiration we must feel for our mothers, a blessing to have them still with us, an angel who will surely watch always from above if they're not here yaay for moms!!!!

    Hi Yvette,

It's funny that you should say that because I'm actually much closer to my mom. In fact, I wrote another poem for her here called Happy Birthday, Mom. It won the gold in that contest, I think. But you're right - I was blessed in the parents department. They had their troubles but they were always there for me. Happy Mother's Day to you, too!

    Thanks,

    Mark

Dear Mark,a short, sweet write that says exactly what it intended too, that you appreciate and value your Mom and would give anything to show it but it wouldn`t be adequate to convey,a lovely sentiment.I have noticed that you refer to your Dad often and your Mom rarely. You have something priceless that you can never lose when you are fortunate to be raised by two loving parents.I am sure the foundation your mom and Dad gave you is priceless and has enriched you.Of all the things we wish for as human beings surely that foundation is one that many either wish they had had or are grateful that they have.Good luck in the contest. The trophy is already yours, that connection you have with your mom is the trophy.Love and light,Yvette
