Let me dance in the rain

Let me dance in the rain
Spin around in time
Feeling the music within
Wash me clean
Start anew
I feel subtle changes
Every heartbeat reminding me
Of how little we know

How could we

Why would we

Motionless but soothed
Emotion sways with the rhythm of time
But the music still plays
And plays

I will dance with you
In the rain
Softly, we will move
Quietly we face another day

So now we can dance again
Tentative at first
Lead me into the light
Time has let me move on
So dance
With me once more

glad to see you're dancing in the rain tho storm clouds arise, we sometimes have to just get out there and rejoice in knowing that things will get better. Glad to see you up and about Gil, take care!!! loved the poem!! It's full of hope and inspiration!!

    wonderful and beautiful

simply enough, I love every bit of this poem. I absolutely love rain...hehehe....so thats why I came to read this poem and also most likely one of my favorite things about the poem (the way you used RAIN itself) but the format you used was nice and every single word seemed carefully and properly and perfectly placed. it made me happy. hehe im very tired so ignore the nonsensical parts of this note.

    beautiful

I've always loved the rain, and it fascinates me. I guess that is in part by the fact that the cold doesn't bother me, and in part that we rarely get rain where I am. There was one time when it was raining and I went for a walk with my umbrella and my jacket tied round my waist. People looked at me like I was crazy; I just smiled at them.

This is a beautiful poem, and so true too. I've found that time is a matter of perception. Sometimes it will go slowly, sometimes quickly. Being with peing you are in love with, and having a good time makes time go very quickly. As the famous quote from Les Miserables goes: "Hours of ectasy last never more than a moment." Funny thing is I memorized that quote.

Oh, and glad to hear that you are doing better.

One of my favorite songs and scenes from a movie is Gene Kelly singing and dancing to "Singing In The Rain". "What a glorious feeling...I'm happy again!" I sing that song whenever I'm feeling really good. I would love to join you for a dance in the rain...lots to be thankful for these days!!! Loved your poem!

    Love and Hugs,
    <3 Maureen

Hello Gill, I'm glad you feel like writing once again, a sure sign that you are feeling better. I can only imagine how difficult your life has been recently, but I'm very glad you have turned the corner.
Beautiful poem, as it's written from the heart how could it not be.

Gil this is lovely, you have been given a second chance. Now you know why I do silly things like stick my tongue out and catch snow flakes. This is a beautiful whimsicle poem. May I have this dance my friend?

    excellent emotional love dance

You never cease to amaze me. What a creative, flowing, love write. Your standards go higher and higher with each pc. I always enjoy your work. Your able to write on any topic, it seems. Nothing to be critical over. LLLLLLLike the way you background this and set up the structure of your words. Maybe, someday, I'll learn how to custom stuff. This granny is new to all that stuff. Boggles my mind, makes me feel really stupid. Thanks 4 sharing. God Bless
