Ebony and Ivory

Which would you prefer?

The endless Black?      Or endless White?
the eternal ebony?          the boundless ivory?

An Empty Space.

Of Curtains drawn upon the world. Of blank, blank Canvas.

Coal.   Ice.
Smoth'ring.      Searing.
dark, dark.     bright, bright.
Black, black.      white, White.

Where there are hidden eyes,
lonely, spindly hands.
And the hope of the not yet universe.

Or where there's no sequestered gaze.
                   No haunts, no wraiths.
                   No thing to go wrong,
But no thing to go right.

What would you welcome?
What would you pine?

beginnings.         ends.
release.             Death.        capture.
long, long, piercing rings.        silence.

jet.               bone.
Choose a Hell.

Author notes

Most people say they're really scared of the dark, of being suspended in deep, deep space. Well, yesterday, I was playing a video game with my brother, and I found this glitch where you get under/inside the world on your broom. It's all inverted and downside up, and below you is a total abyss of white. I then started thinking which would be worse - being surrounded forever by white, or by black. Yeah. I think white's worse. Harder to imagine, but if you can, I think you should see what I mean.

Why are random words in the middle of sentences in caps? I like it, the order is kind of confusing to follow though.
