anger is easier to feel than pain
but pain will fade and heal
while anger grows to own us

This is so true, how many times in my life have I used anger to cover the hurt and in the end it has only made the pain worse. Pain is a natural part of life, and you are right it is one that will eventually fade, but anger will fester and live on forever within us if we let it. Wonderful verse--fairmaiden

we feed our anger and try to ease our pain, wise words indeed, well done, Broad

Thank you for your applause and introducing me to pixiku. Warm Regards...vivela

Yes, I don't think that the initial reaction of anger has to be so damaging until we make the decision to hang onto it tooth and nail
Everyone gets mad now and then, but often we use it as a defense to keep from having to deal with pain. Then it becomes quite devastating.

What a wonderful statement SEA. You should break it into 3 lines because it would make a great pixiku too
-
Thank you for you kind comments. Isn't pixiku fun
. I think it may be one of the most useful poetic forms I have ever seen invented. Yea to SEA for thinking it up. It is also a great way to put a copywrite to snappy little short quotes that we come up with. I use it quite often to keep a coply of my quote when I get ready to use a new one for a while. Of course, that is only when the quote I have been using is my own original quote
.
Keep an eye pealed for these little Pixiku contests. SEA Angel runs these contests quite often and they are always fun

Sometimes anger is a good thing and helps us to grow. But, only if we learn from it. This is a good concept, though.
Well wishes in the contest.
Thank you for sharing. -
Dear histle,
I agree, anger can eat away at you, and pain will eventually go away. A great thought for your Pixiku.
Love and hugs.

Powerful writing
Anger is like a cancer that grows and strangles the life out of a loving heart replacing the love with bitterness and resentment that poisons the soul. -
Very wise statement. So, so true. Anger can eat one up like a viper. It can ruin lives of all those around, not only oneself. It is the worst emotion there is. I hate it. But love your poem!! Pain can disappear quite quickly and dramatically unless one suffers a debilitating disease. I like this little form, pixiku.
