I see rain clouds approaching me
and tears fall behind my eyes
There is nothing more to see
There's nothing left as a disguise
It's suddenly so dark in the day
it's like a rainstorm 'bout to fall
I wouldn't wish it all away
Not sure if I noticed it at all
And the wind keeps me wide awake
The wind cries heartbreak
The wind cries heartbreak
The wind cries heartbreak
I feel the first drop on my skin
oh clouds cry your tears onto me
I am a desert from within
I'm too overheated to even see
It's suddenly so dark in the day
Why couldn't love hang around?
Why did love have to go away?
I am standing on too dry a ground...
And the rain cries heartbreak
The rain cries heartbreak
I can feel nature's heart ache
And the rain cries heartache
too
Just like me and you
We take nature for a fool
The rain cries heartache too
Author notes
Pain is part of nature, and sometimes you can see the refection of our species in the weather or in other natural forms.
