Eternal Love

My love for you transcends
far beyond the known universe.
It has no beginning and it has no end.
It always was and always will be...
Eternal, is my devotion to you.
My heart overflows with great love,
for you and only you.
My eternal love for you has no expectations.
No logic nor reason can explain,
the depths of my emotions.
I love you always; I love you forever...

readership!  It was a spur of the moment write!  I hope

    Thank you, trishycake! I feel that love is something that you give freely and without expecting anything in return. Like the old saying goes: "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder"!

    thanks, Allie. you and I share the same philosophy on poetry.
    i tried to write a poem once where it was only words and where
    i thought and thought about it. in the end it didn't make any
    sense to me. it was only empty words. my best poems are the
    ones which are from the heart and soul. thanks for reading my
    poem. you are such a special friend.

    the best poems always come from the heart not the mind...that's my poetry motto! if you think about it and think about it....the poem starts to lose its meaning to you as you try to please others with it...whereas if you just write down the first thing that comes to your mind then you will write a masterpiece in your own mind no matter what, because if it means something to you then you've just written a masterpiece!

    Thank you so much! I don't know that much thought was put into
    this poem, but I wrote it from the heart. I thought of the
    title first then wrote what it meant to me. Not much thought,
    only words expressing what I felt about what it would be like
    to experience that sort of love... Again, thanks. It makes
    my day!
