The Language of Mountains

I feel the shadows
of your mountains following me
in the growing space
at the back of my mind.

At night I dream of eyes…

Watching me
through magic windows…

    Seeing so far.

A silent soul wrapping himself
around boundless songs
of closeness.

His distance travels with my sleep,
stopping in my way,

and I am as near to him
as wind and measure can carry me.

Simple meaning touches
in windy firestorm rushes,

like heat and laughter
escaping from a
bursting thundercloud.

Our world of words,
a once-abandoned,
spirit language

calling me into my own song.

Something important
    is beginning!

In my dream walk,

paths of flowers
assemble children,
waving lines of wishes
to spark my wonder.

    And I am wide awake…

It's funnyi have cometo your page and the first thing i am greeted by is the quote aboutthe poet writing to express a private feeling and the reader seeing something of their own feelings within it. This, i think, is what just happened to me. It is interesting for me that i should come to read your poem at this point in my time.

I really got a feeling of something swinging in and out of reach the massive mountains closinginthe growing space in your mind. The eyes wathcing but behind windows. Mention of closness thenof distance, something that touches and then rushes away. I have been experiencingthis strange close but distant feling with my lover. I love the foresight of the ending that something is begining. SO beautifully writtenthis piece the way it rolls without sticking to a painfully thought out rhythm. I am putting you on my favourites keep up the good work x

A strong and compelling poem of warm love and lingering hope on a deep level!
    I love:

    "Simple meaning touches
    in windy firestorm rushes,
    like heat and laughter
    escaping from a
    bursting thundercloud"

    Beautiful!
It reminds me of the better songs of Sigur Rós; suggestive and wavering between many layers.
    Well done!
    Cheers!

MMMM this poem is tasty. I especially like these lines:

    paths of flowers
    assemble children,

It is wonderful the way you draw our attention to the effects that nature has on us, not the other way around. Also these lines say so much:

    A silent soul wrapping himself
    around boundless songs
    of closeness.

There is such mystical vision here and the soft alliteration makes it so soft and whispery.
