A lovely little bird
Singing in a tree
Flew to visit me.
I swept away
With a hay...
Broom.
The dirt on the ground,
An excuse to be where I want
How clear the day
A cat came along
Meowling a song
Scratching for a scritch
Of her ear.
Again the broom
Served me well
Away went the cat
That was that.
Bees buzzed by
So I had to run.
Grabbed a horse that could fly
With its thousand eyes
We flew and flew away.
Castle's in the sky
Mold before my eye
Into rabbits, dragons
And things unknown.
Sun streaming down,
A warm pleasant death
Little suns on the ground
Beam, unwanted weeds.
Shun the Spring
Shun the fun
Never done days
Breaking Winter
Nights of stars
And eveninged flowers
All's still beautiful
All beautifully still.
What a day
What a night
What a world!
Singing in a tree
Flew to visit me.
I swept away
With a hay...
Broom.
The dirt on the ground,
An excuse to be where I want
How clear the day
A cat came along
Meowling a song
Scratching for a scritch
Of her ear.
Again the broom
Served me well
Away went the cat
That was that.

Grabbed a horse that could fly

Shun the Spring
Shun the fun
Never done days

And eveninged flowers

All beautifully still.
What a day
What a night
What a world!
Author notes
Y'know, I wasn't really going anywhere with this, just some nonsense off the top of my head. It's not s'ppose to rhyme or have a particular rhthym, it just is what it is.
Reflection of a positive mood and a nice spring day I guess.

Compulsively amusing little ditty. Seemed to have a smile in each line.

I myself have recently been contemplating dandelions and working them into a poem. Good job. I really liked this piece.

very very interesting write, I must say you have a different style but I like the reflective attitude and it has very humurous imagery in it. good job overall.
If you wan't to use the featured items box go to the bottom the page of the poem you want to "feature" and where it says "Promote this Poem" in the first box you put the total amount of points you want to spend and then if you put 50 or so in the first then put 10 in the second etc. if you have any questions just IM one of the moderators and they will help you. their names are listed on the side of every page or on the home page. good luck with your writing and have a wonderful day.
