Emerald Eyes

Emerald Eyes

Eyes of emerald green I here,
can pierce a wanting heart
they draw, they pull, they call you near
and stick you like a dart

I’m glad it's you not me my friend
That’s helpless to it's call
because my hearts not ready
for another fall

Author notes

I lied I'm helpless to the beauty of most womens eyes, Blue, emerald, Bed room Brown, And hazel I want even start.  To the beauty found in all women

    Very beautiful, but sad...

Your poem, 'Emerald Eyes' really grabbed my heart. If I could remember how to get ahold of those Emoticon Icons that Sandy told me how to do (and that didn't work for me) I'd send you a dozen red roses. But first I need to practice that art form. For now, I wanted to tell you how wonderful your poem, 'Emerald Eyes' is! It is very beautiful. And I'm happy you're putting a book together for the Emotions of Men, because it will be a best seller!! Write on Charlie (while I practice figuring out those emoticon icons)...

    WONDERFUL POEM

Well this was the perfect poem for me with my green eyes. I loved your rhyme. Most of my poems rhyme. I am not too good at free verse. This lovely poem made me smile. I shall keep you in my prayers while you are there. I just had a dear friend come back from there last Sept. You be safe. I shall put you on my fav. Write anytime. Take care and God bless you. Sandy
