A Poem

Its hard to write a poem
gather words and flow them
have a catchy topic
so you can begin to start it

A poem should have emotion.
sorrow. laughter. love. comotion.
Images.
Such as the sun beating down on a bright sunny day
or little children outside at play

Drama can fill the pages
as the young writer rages.
And tears can fill the lines
when all of her hope resigns.

A poem can tell a story
of a champion in all his glory
a dog whos lost his way
or a man with an old grey toupee

A poem can make you laugh. smile.
or stutter in denial.
It can keep you up at night
begging for a fight
and searching for your light.

Expectations can be so high
that some people wont ever write one
for the fear of their world coming undone.

So you see...
Its hard to write a poem
