Rememberace of love(aka:Less Than Nothing)

Remembrance of love:

If I was ever able to control,
the wheel of destiny,
I Would protect you from it,
a thousand times over.
I realize now though,
no one can stop the wheel of time.
People die, but you still live in my heart.
And when I die, even though you are not with me.
I smile because your in a better place,
and our love for one another will never die.
I just want you to know, I love you,
even when the flames of hell close around me.

I love the ending. It changes the whole perception on the piece. I really liked it. You write with passion and grace. Thank you for entering and good luck.

  • well you made the ending rather shocking, so much so that that it changes what i had originally thought was the main theme- love to death and loss, a very daring fragment of thought this
    thanks for entering

Also well written. Very heartfelt. I enjoyed this piece. It was very sweet in a dark melancholy kind of way. Great job. I notice also that you don't have many recent pieces, yet the system says you've logged in quite recently. That's a heck of a case of writer's block. I hope you get back into it again.

thank you for your comment on my poem 'Just Be You' I am so sick and tired of all the poor teenage girls feeling like they have to be anhorexic to be popular. I have been fat since about age eleven and guess what? I was always surrounded by friends. I used to think that you had to be pretty and/or rich to be popular and then I went to high school and found out that real friends could not care less how you look. It is what is on the inside that counts. I may still be big (nearly 300 pounds) but I am happy and I have three beautiful children. I also have a good job with a lot of respect where I most of the time work to hard. But I love my life. Crazy kids, sixteen hour days at work on my feet all day, even my overly jealous husband. At least I know in my heart that if he is that jealous then there really must be something about me that he is worried someone else wants. Thanks again for the comment. I really enjoyed your poem here and I hope to read more by you later.

This piece is so sad yet beautiful! Your love brings hope and tears to the person that this piece is for. I bet that they wish that the pearly gates of heaven could surround you though...but then again, we must ask if heaven exists. A lot of people believe Hell to be definite in existence, but there are not a lot of "Godly believers". You are an awesome writer and have said a lot, even personally, through this piece. Keep up the great writing and thanks for commenting on " .Apocalypse-Six-Six."! Also, good luck in the contest!
