A Mirror Image Of You Mum

Dear Mum,

When people look into my eyes they see you,
I’m the mirror image of your beauty shining through.
I have your personality so kind and down to earth,
And your tender heart which I’ve had since birth.

I’ve inherited your characteristics in every way,
I can only hope to be half the woman you are one day.
You think of everyone else’s happiness before your own,
You have always been there for me as I have grown.

You’ve been my shoulder to cry on when I was blue,
When there was something wrong you always knew.
When I needed help you were just a phone call away,
You picked up the pieces you knew exactly what to say.

Being an only child was hard you became my best friend,
With you I could be myself I didn’t have to pretend.
All my life you have had me on a pedestal high,
Your love has always been an endless supply.

Thank you for molding me as a mirror image to you,
You’ve shown me a mother’s love and friendship is true.
Today I wrote this poem for you to celebrate Mother’s Day,
To show you how much I love and appreciate you in every way.

All My Love Your Daughter

Its true. Moms are the very best friend that you could ever have. They will always be there for you no matter how bad things get. A mothers love is no other. It is everlasting. That's what make moms very special in our lives.

There may be times when moms get on our nerves, but they are only doing what they are doing that gets on our nerves because they now that that is what's best for us. Moms always thinks of our own benefits..

anyways, thanks for your wonderful piece of poetry. its freaking awesome!

How sweet! I can identify with you because I also love my mom so much. This is beautiful. The strongest bond is between a mother and a daughter, I believe. Just make sure you don't have too many syllables in line. Other than that, it's gorgeous, dahling. lol
    Great write and God bless.

If I could write a poem this beautiful for my mum, she would probably die at the sheer beauty of it... unfortunately for me, I don't have the attention span for writing such a poemThe whole "mirror image" thing was extremely touching, because it shows that you are just like the person you looked up to the most. This was a great write that touched my heart, and I was very appreciative of the good grammar and rhyme scheme. Best of luck in the contest and thanks for entering!

I too am an only child and you would also think that I am the mirror image of my mother. I tell my best friend that I think we get along so well because she reminds me so much of my mother, who is also one of my truest friends. My Mother is an amazing breed; sounds like your Mum is too! Nice poem.

What a lovely poem you have written for your Mama. And don't forget to praise the Lord as you fall down on your knees in front of his cross - he loved his Mumsy 2 even if she never married his Dad (God).

Your mom is going to love this beautiful write. I bet it will bring tears to her eyes. It's a shame not every person could see all these qualities within there own mom, wouldn't it be a beautiful world if they could? But i'm glad that there are people like you who can see all the beauty and are willing to share it. Thanks for shareing and have a great day with your mom come mothers day.

    i like llamas

I have an uncle whose name is Hugh. When I was little he'd watch me poo. And then one day(just why, I can't say) he put his Hugh in my poo. And it hurt. It was my first screw.

What the fuck's wrong with you?

Sorry, what the fuck. Great write, excellent job of following a simple rhyming scheme, and an even better job of conveying life's situations and the emotion involved.
