Forsaken

I've lived in the darkness so long,
I can't remember the last time I saw the light, but does it matter?

It would seem that death is a bad thing,
but for me it is an awakening.

The vivid women, what was her name? Oh
  Violet.

Yes indeed, I, I love her...
Wow, what a sense of shocking memory.

Yes, I seem to remember what a strange young women she was,
but that was when I was drinking her blood, not making conversation.

What did she do again? Oh yes,
her memories are strong, she was an artist.

You know, our kind are like artists at times,
although we tend to paint a picture of, well, evil.

Ahh but yea, the fangs, they sort of scare people,
but I think they are down right gorgous... Wouldn't you agree?

Well that is all for now, for even death must sleep,
but thankfully for the light, there will be a time again, and I arise.

    Wicked!!

Woooo-Hoooo!!! Awesome poem, dude!! Very dark and seductive. I think I am gravitating towards the darker side of poetry. I seem to enjoy the mysticism and enchanting feelings disquised in poems such as this. Super Kewl Poem!! Rock on!! =) XOXOXOX

    bloody awesome.

ironically, i don't think vampires are forsaken. by god, yes, but not by other darker, more powerfull forces rumored to be thousands of miles underground. i like the way you split it between every two lines. write on. and kill me later.

This is a glimpse in the mind of an insane vampire. I have to say that this is a unique look at vampires though. I like the use of imagery. Your poem gives the subject vampire a sense of being "real". You have a good visual quality and story line. A very entertaining read all the way around.

Wow this definately leaves me with emotion, perhaps a sense of darkened beauty. That is difficult to find these days. And yes, I would agree with you - vampire fangs are hot (but I prefer my Boyfriend's fangs). LOL. Nice work anyway.

I've always had a vivid fascination with vampires. You poem speaks on how death, for some, may be a new beginning. Great job!

This is bit of craziness that you have going on in here! LOL But I like it! It is a bit strange. You're obviously speaking from the view point of a vampire that just drank on someone and was feeling all full and happy. Sounds like he was very egotistical too! LOL But I think it sounds like you were really into this, so that is good. You did a good job of expressing yourself. Thanks for featuring your work so that we all have a chance to share your words with you!

"what a sense of shoking memory." did you mean shocking?

This is errie and gives fuel to a philosophy of how light is attracted towards dark...A thoughtproving work, I should say...
