Unrequited Desire, Thy name is Cuisinart

Each morning I await your arrival.
I dream of your long, pale fingers

Touching
       Stroking
               Gripping

And I shudder in my sleep.

I want to pour all I have into you.
Watch those soft, rose-bud lips
Drink of me. Watch that sinfully sweet
Tongue lap at my essence.

Every day, before the dawn you come to me.
Craving me as I crave you.
Needing what only I can give.
Drowning yourself in the comfort I offer.

Only you can heat me to feverish passion,
And ignite beneath me a flame
Which drives my very being,
To new, unimagined, peaks of perfection.

Each morning I await your arrival.
I dream of your long, pale fingers

Touching
       Stroking
               Gripping
My handle, as you pour a cup of coffee.

Please let me know what you think of this poem. I read the contest a few days ago, and put in my first entry. As I made my coffee this morning, however, this idea suddenly sprang into my head, and I knew I had to follow it through.

    Hehehehe, how unique

You have a way with words, don't cha know?

The background sorta gives it away before you start reading it...

    But overall, this was great!

    Ha! Coffee eroticism!

I don't believe I've seen a coffee pot personified before - this is just a riot. You've carried it off with skill, too, the nice surprise at the end - "handle" - which made it a most enjoyable read. Bravo.
