She shakes degrees from the thermometer
Hoping my fever has melted away.
Every other moment at bedside
Wanting to know how I feel today.
All I can answer is that I'm OK.
It's what she so wants to believe
Though she knows me better than this,
She feels my forehead for heat.
Poor Mama, I've often keep you waiting
And through measles or school dances,
Those past curfew dates
I have left you anxious and afraid.
Even today I was a little late
Never do that again is all you say
Turning back to the stove to fix dinner,
Let's get your prom dress this weekend,
You can't be late waiting for a sale!
Author notes
my mom is probably the most patient person for everyone and I love her very much.

This is a very nice acrostic. The rules did call to use adjectives. Pattienly is an adverb. Still, I liked this very much and appreciate you entering the contest.
