Comfort

In Your presence, all my guilt is gone
          All my shame dissolved, and doubts relieved;
Your strength is what my weakness rests upon,
          A grace received.

You open up the door, You love me soft
You find where I have hidden all my fears
Your presence melts the cold and bitter frost
          Of lonely years.

And when the storm awakens me at night
And life has asked for more than I can give
You speak, and all the shadows turn to light—
          And oh--I live.

For a moment I couldn't think of what to say. Thank you.

He pulls us though the drought with an interior waterfall. And with each individual, His message is shared by angels who choose to bow down. They continue to glimpse at His glory as it pours down from His throne. A beautiful sight, to feel.

    This line:

"And life has asked for more than I can give"

is exactly how I feel at the moment. But I would never have been able to come up with these words to describe that feeling. I really like this piece.

Rita, I think you should find someone to put a tune to this one- I could almost hear music as I was reading it!

This is was just I needed today.

I liked the syllable count difference in the last line of your quatrains- very effective. (Hey- I can use big poetic words like "quatrains" now! )

    BRAVO! BRAVISSIMO!!!
