Blessed Are We
©copyright 2006 Bonita M Quesinberry, R.C.
I have two endearing sisters, Debby and Joanne,
who stand by me, pitiful though I am;
also Tony and Brian, two enduring brothers,
swift defence when I am struck by others.
Then, there are my surrogate children, a girl and boy;
Sandy and James, who give a lot of joy.
Glory, glory be to God! He has the final say;
for on His day we shall live while death many will pay.
Contrarily, I am in this place filled with rage,
where anger and abuse spill from each page,
where few quills take up to flow with Godly love and peace.
'Tis sad just these were found in Christ's release;
with God's Word they happily refuse to become bored,
trusting in ev'ry Word of our dear Lord.
O, how blessed are we to love and obey;
blessed that we understand God's narrow Way
while ev'ry day walking on His straight path,
as God shields us from these days of His wrath.
Henceforth, here we stand, a united flock of seven,
acing each test for the prize of heaven;
all of us lending encouragement to each other,
Christ-like loving as sisters and brothers
while striving to obey our Father's Statutes of Life:
by love and faith it's done, avoiding strife.
Glory, glory be to God! He has the final say;
for on His day we shall live while death many will pay.
O, Praise you, Father, for blessings you have brought to me;
for each is filled with love and grace I see,
well I do feel your love from them ev'ry single day
and their love for Christ and Thy perfect way.
An unworthy Eve, yet Thy love gave mercy and grace;
that I know we shall see Thy loving face.
O, how blessed are we to love and obey;
blessed that we understand God's narrow Way
while ev'ry day walking on His straight path,
as God shields us from these days of His wrath.

Blessed are they who obey, and cursed are they who disobey.

Love for family beautifully stated
Beautifully written. Thank God for eternal life in heaven where we will be known as we are - instead of eternal death which would result in being separated from God even though still living eternally in a devil's hell created for the devil and his fallen angels - A place that God does not want any of us to go.

We may be seven on paper, but it truth our numbers are much greater. Some read and learn without ever saying anything. Your words reach many and I feel so lucky to know you and them! God bless us all each and every one! Thank God for you in my life each and every day! the Shaker

This is pretty Bonnie. I like this, it is beautiful and written well. Yes, we who follow Him are blessed every day. Obedience to God is a must for Christians. You are thorough in your writing. I appreciate the scripture references and I will follow up on them!

Precious.
Mother...you write of such love, and so elegant...it is- truly art. A pleasure to read. But Momma...I don't think I belong in this 'seven'. I am grateful and honoured...but I fear I am not strong in this Faith, as the Spirit is willing and the flesh is weak...but even moreso, why have you chosen me?
I am grateful...but there are many far more worthy...who adhere to the principles that you dictate in your own words. I follow a path I think that is far from this flock.
Still...it is a magnificent poem, and full of love. You are certainly like a Momma Hen. I never expected that Mom!
All my love;
-James.

Bonnie I thank you for blessing me with this today. I am so happy that we are a group of seven - God's special number. He is so good. When satan wants us to think we stand alone, we know the truth. We stand together and Jesus is in our midst. What more can we ask for? God is so good, Thank you my dear sister!

How blessed we are indeed to have you as a mentor, surrogate mother, faitful sister and friend!
This is truly outstanding mom and I was totally and completely blessed by it!
I don't know what I'd do somedays if God hadn't sent you into my life with words of wisdom and sometimes harsh words of reality!
Both are greatly appreciated as you are! I love you!
The best mom a girl could ask for! I'm totally blessed by God's presence and your words!
