The Path of Daggers

Nights fringe in sadness,
Days amidst in pain.
Wreck to a point of madness,
Untill the routine drives you insane.

The endless realm,
Of this so-called life.
And the twisted reality,
Of this dream.
A heart been stab from within,
By a thousand knifes,
And love dies to extreme.

A path of choice,
This dream will shatter.
I still hear a distance voice,
Within the path of daggers.

A time of need,
This dream will finally end.
The destiny it feeds,
To a life that is about to begin.

I like the image of stabbed within. Makes me think that is a greater pain then an actual dagger.

Good job here, and thanks for entering

I love the image of a "path of daggers" and the way you presented this. That last stanza was amazing, especially the second line... or no, I really can't pick a favourite. Nice job.

Thanks for entering my contest, and good luck!
