Mother(Acrostic)

Met an angel from heaven above
Old and fat with a peaceful heart;
Together we saw the life
Her touch gave me strength and light.
Elegant and soft her hair flew with the wind
Reaching the stars she held out a string.

I held it in my hand,

Looked at it carefully
Opened the box that carried the string.
Violin started playing a song
Each note made a count
   of
Years that had passed with countless moments
On went the tune that was flawless
Unconscious mind woke up to reality.

MOTHER, I LOVE YOU
is the fact that won't change till eternity.....

Author notes

MOTHER is like an angel sent from above to care, to love, to show the faults and mend them. Mother is everything and I would be no one had it not been for my Angel- My mommy.

There's nothing like that motherly bond, but your line "old & fat" cracked me up, but also puts this poem in such an honest light.

Great acrostic. Thank you for entering the contest.

This is a very lovely acrostic. Mothers are very precious and deserve a love like yours for your mother. Thank you for this beautifully-written piece and good luck in the contest. Hugs, Patricia

By the way, don't call your mother old and fat. LOL
