To my mother, I wish the best
Of all she's given to me.
For it is my mother who taught me
How to become a true woman,
My mother who showed me easily
What beauty is meant to be.
To my mother, I wish the love
She has always showered on me.
For it is my mother who loved me
The way no other person could,
My mother who taught me to love
Those near me in that very same way.
To my mother, I wish to say
It is you that has been my hero.
All these years I've looked up to you
And never will that cease to be.
Your strength, your courage,
Everything a Goddess should be.
For my mother is still to me
The prettiest girl in the world,
Smarter than anyone, a super mom,
And more than everything to me.
If I could be anything when I grow up,
I would be exactly like my mom.
Author notes
This is actually not going to be edited any further. Not my best work, in my opinion, but it is heart felt. This is going to be printed out on a poster for my mother as a gift for Mother's Day.

This is so beautiful for it comes from your beautiful heart. I'm sure your mother deserves every lovely word of this poem, Sis. Your mother must have been a wonderful role model; look how wonderful you turned out! Love, Patricia

Wonderful
Wow this was a wonderful poem, full of love for you mother. I am sure she will adore it and be very proud of you!! -
The best Poem you have written.
I love it as it comes straight from a loving heart to a wonderful Mother. How blessed to have such a lovely role model and especially liked it when you said how you wished to be like her.I hope your mother reads this.
Absolutley beautiful in content and emotion. You have inspired me to let my mother know how I feel about her before it is too late.
She suffers from Colon Cancer and as we are both a little reserved have never felt comfortable in verbalising my feelings.I think it will be easier in a Poem and I applaud you for giving me the idea,my friend.
