Step into the sunshine

Missing image

Step into the sunshine.
The morning light attenuates the mist;
The gloom of night summarily dismissed
By blessed sight, each corner will be kissed.

Step into the sunshine -
It comes not long behind the drying rain;
The thrush's song upon the weather vane
Will right each wrong, and heartbuds bloom again.

Step into the sunshine.
Where doubts have been now lies the surest fate,
A golden mean where once no line was straight;
There comes a queen, a consort and a mate.

Step into the sunshine.
A greener bough is leaping into life
To disavow the winter's bitter strife,
And shows you how a friend becomes a wife.

Step into the sunshine.
Now you shall sing and counterpoint the thrush,
Your heart take wing and balance on the hush
Of birthing spring - and joy come at a rush!

Step into the sunshine.

    Melodies, do so with my blessing. It was a message to the one I love, during a dark period. I am honoured that you wish to uplift it.

    excellent

    Mairi bheag, This poem is so clean and lean, without a single ounce of fat on it, and I greatly admire the life-afirming spirit behind it. Excellent!

    Your song I think
    is pretty and pink
    so this Pixie winks
    kisses a smoosh blinks.
