Always too late
comes realization,
for no one sees the truth
until after the disaster...
Only then
does the understanding
settle.
Author notes
Goodness, it's been forever.
And do I ever wish I weren't so blind.

Bonjour,
This is too true, we understand way too much that we didn't before we wreck our selves. Very well done.

great.......that line, "No one see the truth till after the disaster...." it kinda describes many things...like for me it describes how i liked this guy and i pushed him away later only to realize that he was one of the things sustaining me, and that without him i was lost......great job creating a poem that is highly relatable to....

"No one see the truth till after the disaster...." yes I can relate...my fiance and I just broke up and went our separate ways and this poem desribes a little of what is going on with me now...Well done!

Wonderful!
I love it as well- I feel like it's my 'soul-speak'.
When will I ever learn?
I am glad you composed this. I have missed you.

Wow Christine! You have no idea the message this poem holds to me. I can connect it so well to my life. This is such a lovely, meaningful poem! You are such an incredible writer and I missed reading your poems! They are always so beautiful and always hold something special to me, as the reader. I absolutely love this. It is so short and yet so powerful! True talent my dear sister!! Awesome job
Much love as always,

It certainly has been a while, hasn't it. Months at least. But don't worry, I'm not one to post consistently either. It does not mean you don't write, or that you don't feel. Just sometimes mean you're pressed for time and such, as it is in my case.
But this, this is wonderful. It says a multitude of things all at once. I'm sure anyone can find something in this to speak to them, it's a universal principle. And sadly true.
You are a remarkable young lady, never change.
