Radiant (for Maatkara)

She's radiant, inspiring awe,
her beauty seen without a flaw.
Renowned for wisdom, wit and fun,
she's patient, for her peace is won,
the lady Ma'at, of lightest Ka.

She knows that all is one in Ra,
appearances are veils and straw.
The work of ages well begun,
she's radiant.

In looking through herself she saw
that all abides in cosmic law.
There's nothing new beneath the sun,
and all depends upon the One,
perfection none alive can draw.
She's radiant.

I certainly agree that Maatkara is indeed radiant, wise, and loving. She is beautiful and kind, lovely and intoxicating. Thank you, Margaret, for such a beautiful poem for such a beautiful lady. I am so delighted that you chose to write for my contest. Hugs, Patricia

I have laughed with Ge in many occasions, and got good advice from her as well. She does know where many people soft spots are, and she caresses them.
A wonderful poem to Gennelle Marg!

Why is it so strange others, apart from Margaret and me, liked their comments too, Yem?
Should they (and I) be insulted?

So the others were intentional...so their comments were twice as good as mine? I'm hurt...no, not just hurt...I'm flummoxed!

    Sorry Margaret...

Why is Maatkara double applauding? That has to be against the rules...oh sure I've done it too but still...

A beautiful tribute, full of Light and love, friendship and gratitude. It's inspiring to see the connections made between two sparks of the One.

Peace and blessing to both ladies and to all, Rod

Your tribute is radiant as well. You have done this magnificent poetess justice, and that is saying something. No one deserves it more. The affection, respect and admiration is apparent.

    Peace stay with you

I shall offer a rhymed comment:

    Each in a mirror clear

    See

    Other's reflection dear

The coupling of intellect with mutual admiration and love of beauty, wisdom from Ra/God/a Higher Power is wonderful to witness among lovers of poetry.

What is she dying? (Wouldn't I feel like the biggest idiot if she were, lol)

I have to hurry this comment along because I see Spamkid has a new poem, "Spiced Pork and hAM" (sticky cap apparently intentional)

"Perfection none alive can draw"...AND then there was Ima!

Ka and Ra?...dang it all...more research to do ...why couldn't you just say she's as smart as a whip.

Maatkara's cool. I've challenged her a few times with my silly notions and not once has she told me to go shove it! Oh sure, she was tempted, you are are!

No, it's a lovely poem FGM and it's written to a lovely person. I'm lucky to know you both.

Oh boy...off to read about spam!

Yes, Blessed Poet, You have captured the essence of that Radiant Light that resides in our poetic wonderland. I love how you capture Her countenance, as well as expressing what She means to You... and us. Ah, what radiance!! A glimmer in the night!! How She has helped to guide this one through turbulent, rock filled waters in this bay of digital poetry! Salutations to the One, expressed as a humble, delightful, Saint... Blessed Maatkara!

    Great job Margaret!

It is a great pleasure for me. This seems a small thing in return for what I have received.

    I'm blown away!

Oh my! This is so beautiful, Margaret! I didn't think you could top your sonnet, but you have. I now really know the feeling of 'an embarrassment of riches'

I especially love your final lines,
"and all depends upon the One,
    perfection none alive can draw."

You have been such a wonderful friend and inspiration to me too, sweetheart! Mutual indeed!

    ~Gennelle
