My Heart's Final Words

To me you're that someone,
The one, I was scared I'd never find...
In times of darkness you were the light
Shining down on me so brightly,
Silently encouraging me to keep fighting.

No one else will ever see
That side of me I showed to only you-
And no one will ever hear
The many secrets I kept in fear,
While waiting for someone to tell them to.
For you have showed me, something...
That I thought I'd never find
And for just one brief moment it was mine.

But along roads of the past
I've learned when to hold on and let go,
It's safer to say good-bye
With tears cascading within
To let something that can't be grow.

So beautiful while it lasted
This fantasy; that was by no means Reality...

With a fading "I Love You"
That must last us forever,
And one tear holding within my good-bye
I promise you one thing-
My love for you will never die.

    Lovely and so touching. You just can't write without emotions flowing like a river. If he is your best friend, then he is a fortunate guy- because you are not so easy to tap into...as you know I am the same.

    I want you happy, so don't cut yourself off short before life has begun. I remember being 22 and thinking I was going to be alone forever. (As I look back now I want those 6 years BACK!)

    yOU HAVE MY LOVE, AND KEEP WRITING- BECAUSE YOU HAVE SUCH AN AMAZING GIFT. Ok I started yelling and I am not gonna backspace because I have been up all night.
