Maybe if I had known it was your birthday,
A card would have arrived at your house today.
Regretfully, there will be no postal worker,
Knocking on your door with a surprise either.
My only gift to you will have to be,
One in the form of the finest poetry.
Something in an acrostic with your name honored,
Ending in rhyme, are you enamored?
Lastly, yet indeed most importantly;
Your wife Vickie, does everything perfectly.
Happenstance might cause her to change course,
Accidents occur when heavy tables are forced.
Sometimes her mind is enigmatic,
And nothing she does is ever problematic.
Generosity fills both her heart and soul,
Regardless if she lets puppies outside to go.
Even if little puddles leave a permanent mess,
A nice painted floor of black will impress.
The truth is that you have a valuable treasure,
Would be hard if her worth you tried to measure.
I hope you realize how blessed you are,
For she is the best wife there is by far.
Embrace her for she is your brightest star.

This is a wonderfully crafted acrostic. A great gift as well. I am sure it will be kept special for a long time.
