but you knew if they fell it'd only make things worse?

but in your heart you knew even if they could hear you they'd never understand?

Have you ever looked someone you knew all your life in the eyes,
and realize their more of a stranger then the man across the street?

Have you ever felt the stares of what was once your friend pry into you,
and you know they see who you really are?

Have you ever lived my life, lived on moment in my shoes?
