Maybe I’ll waken
to Paris in feathers~
from aerial-scape,
the hurling seas
of human graffiti
tweeded scoops
of mother-held toddlers,
with Swedish cheeks
in mango berets,
gleaming gazebos
bordering paths
like white eyelet seams
and seersucker crepe,
dandelion winds
lift petticoat silks-
fragrancing swish
of April's Sunday
stitched and hemming
a crisp nylon sun,
dons the shading straw chapeau
a sight embroidering
such heaven’s brocade.

you touch in brilliance like painting in Spring!
Yes I enjoyed this!
I do love the imagery within!
Keep penning on my friend!

My favourite of yours!
I absolutely LOVE the fabric imagary. So simple yet when you stand back it becomes clear - did you get any inspiration from the impressionist painting you've used because that's the kind of effect I'm seeing here. You wordcraft is brilliant, in this one especially. -
The title is what lured me in and the rest of the poem proved to be just as beautiful. This poem makes me want to spend the day sipping mocha lattes and chain smoking in a savvy Paris coffee shop while I memorize the poetry of a dead French author whose name I can't pronounce, enviously watching innocent, young girls cavort past me dressed in the fabrics of lace and pearl, whispering little girl secrets in French that I only wish I could understand.
Yes. Imagination can be such a wonderful thing. Thank you for such a beautiful poem and such wonderful imagery. -
SO UBER GUILTY ITS NOT EVER REMOTELY FUNNY
my god my work is shit comapared to yours jesus -
Brises d'été sur la joie de la vie!
A lovely piece you have laid out before us, just a sweetly lovely piece here.

May I put this one in the journal? It would go on page three, right after "Peppernill Square" (yes I put "P.S." it on page two).
Pretty please. -
the summer town?
nice title, bit too drunk to review it but maybe I'll try again later xxx

Wow! what a lovely painting you have created with words. It was so stunningly descriptive I could see each image clearly in my mind. Exquisite!

I would like to try to match jaden's enthusiasm on this one. This is unbelievably good. One of the best pieces of writing I have come across in a while. It was like reading a Renoir.

You do weave pictures beautifully. Stands well on its own without the painting. Pure talent. Inspiring work. I'll stop by more often.

This is so ooh la la. I love the phrase, 'dandelion winds lift petticoat silks'. It has movement and aroma and sound along with the image of the 'petticoats lifting'. That is one terrific phrase! I also find 'a crisp nylon sun' to be quite a unique description. Cookie, this is fantastic.

The feel and imagery is wonderful. It captures Paris beautifully.

as pretty as a homemade quilt tattered in brocade and silk!

Excellent
I loved this, Diane! It is superb! It reminds me of the wonderful street artists I've heard about ... (never visited Paris before).
