A sea of broken glass

Everyone's face hidden behind a mask,
Driven by the urge to scream but never taking the jewel,
Looking into your deep eyes I dare not ask,
Because I always know how you feel.

A voice more beautiful than a choir of angels,
A past of being chased by devils,
I will bring not a tear to your eye that isn't of joy,
I only wish that you will do the same.

As pale and wonderful as the brightest star,
The soles on our shoes are worn as we've traveled far,
Time will always heal the wound but there is always a scar,
Look upon them on one anothers body.

Think of them as nothing more than a memory,
I would carry you acrost a sea of broken glass,
Even if all I was to die right after seeing your smile,
Just look to the stars I'll always be there waiting.
