shifting matter

i'm quite happy here, in the quiet
of what cannot matter
the shifting sands and gentle waves
of yesterday and today and tomorrow

the numbered days hold too many

the complexity of these few lines is amazing. It really makes you think. This is one of those poems that you have to read over and over again to fully appreciate it, and that I did. These is a sadness but a definite sense of hope in it as well, it is also a very peaceful little read. Beautiful job!
