This Girl

There's this girl...
Who is a lot like you.
She smiles and looks like she's having a good time.
Who laughs and jokes with her friends.
But this girl hides everything from a lot of people.
And those smiles of hers are forced upon her face.
And the good times are her short escape from her lonely little world.
And the laughs and jokes are just part of the cover up.
But there is a few select people who can truely bring a smile to her plain face.
And make that sparkle in her eye return.
But on the inside of this plain girl.
On the inside she's drowning.
In deep pools of hurt and anger from everything that has ever happened to her.
And the people that she's trusted leave her behind.
They always do.
And now she's waiting for the few select people to disapper too.
And this girl wonders what do you possibly do when this "perfect" world.
Turns its back on you and your left out in the dark?
Cold and Alone?

    i love this poem because it reminds me of a poem i wrote a while back called "She's Free Now". i'm amazed because in reading this, it seriously mirrors that poem!! i adore you and his poem!! this is a poem that many people have and will be touched by on a deeper level than just reading and understanding. they will feel the emotions behind it and that's another reason why i luhvvvvv this work of yours!!
