Moving on was what I had to do to get you
Out of my life, the love we had was gone.
Visions of a new love came into my dreams
I knew I'd meet him someday soon.
Now we're together planning a new life
Giving of ourselves for the rest of our days.
Our love is a miracle of a dream come true
Never will we part for my heart belongs to him.
Author notes
When an old love dies we have to move on to allow a new love into our lives.

Yes, we do indeed need to move on, when it's over, it's over. Your acrostic spells it out loud and clear, Jen. And I'm glad to see that you've moved on, been fortunate in finding a true love (or maybe he found you?
) Either way, I guess you found each other and that's a wonderful thing.
This is a very good acrostic, each line smooth and 'moving on' to the next one.
