The day you were born
the sun was shining.
Everyone did adorn
this lovely boy,smiling.
You were the world to us
mom and dad both very happy.
Now their life had a new boss;
a sweet son so lovely.
We’re enjoying our life
with you much better.
Having you cost all the strife
our lovely boy,little sir.
Mom and daddy’s happiness
now completed with you.
You’re the symbol of sweetness
the love shines in your eyes too.

This is a piece dedicated to my lovely nephew Ole. He’s Jim’s(starhiker) and Monica’s son. Happy birthday sweetheart. He’ll be 4 years old in 21st April.

Yes, he loves him very much. He's really a lovely son, I saw him on his daddy's webcam when his daddy was talking to someone else, but I clicked on the cam
and saw his son who came to him for some minutes there.

I like this lovely poem. It is written well and is a fitting birthday wish to the little fellow, BUT... what I like best is the reaffirmation of family. In this day of frenzied living, it is WONDERFUL, to me, to see interaction of family members not in direct contact with each other. I love all the gentle, happy feelings you have expressed for your nephew. We have come to embrace the "family unit", as well we should, but here you have clearly shown that family is a blanket, it stretches over many many members of ones linage. It is there to comfort, protect, and unify those that we need hold dear. Thank you for a reminder that "family" is still a warm and loving term for beloved family members near and far.
