A Magical Memorial
Albus, oh Albus,
So clever and wise
Possibly foolish from age
Through some wizard’s eyes.
Though your words were frequently few,
Strong, thoughtful, and great,
You inspired many professors and students,
Within your school’s charmed gates.
A character of such patience and trust
Through your half-moons everlastingly shown,
You’re simply the best Headmaster
That Hogwarts had ever known.
Your great talents in magic
Were exceedingly greater than bold;
Always greatly admired by many
With your caring heart of gold.
Though even under your protection
Lurked such evil a foe,
That none other than Severus Snape
Delivered your fatal blow.
Your special protection had been greatest
Since young Harry to the Potters was born;
Even with his best friends at his side
His heart hit deepest when he was left to mourn.
When the tears shed by Harry Potter
Over losing you forever had barely dried,
Ron and Hermione given the chance to turn back
United for your cause joined him faithfully at his side.
As a trio, they’ll seek out the Horcruxes
For your wish as you eternally rest,
Lord Voldemort’s seventh bit of dark soul, too,
They’ll destroy when they finish your quest.
But as Fawkes’ musical cries of lament fill the air,
Many a-tear from weeping eyes downpour,
As your beloved friends at Hogwarts say
A Fondest Goodbye…Dear Dumbledore.
