Funny how a flower grows
in places so remote
Seems to want to beautify
Like an orchestrated note
A seed by wind was floated
And settled in the ground
This to be its growing place
A home is what it found
Didn't need a setting
Didn't need a garden space
Only needed room to grow
A "look at me" kinda place
So keep your eyes wide open
For the beauty that is there
Beauty in the oddest place
Beauty we can share
Mr. Doug

OMG...this is such a beautiful piece of work, Mr Doug. There truly is beauty found all around us, even in unexpected places.
The other day I noticed a weed seeming to grow from the middle of the block wall around our back yard. I looked closer and realized it was some kind of grassy vine that had somehow managed to start a life there in the middle of nowhere. It looked so pretty that I decided to leave it. I suppose it will live there awhile then dry up and fall off but in the meantime I'm going to enjoy it's beauty.
We need to appreciate what nature has given us. A wonderful poem you've written here
Dee
