Ten Days

Sisters, well we could be
Only had one fight
It almost broke us forever
One careless word thrown out
It seemed over

New friends, great
I see her in the hall
I should say something, right?
Oh there's her new best friend, oh well

Days go by, boring unmentionable
Call her, just call
Don't pick up, let me leave a message

Ring, ring, ring
I'll leave a message then I won't sound pathetic
Ring, ring, ring
'Hello' the stuffy cry voice of my friend made me burst

I'm sorry, I'm sorry
Why are we fighting?
We're sisters separated at birth
Please let's stop fighting, I miss you I do!

All is forgiven in those simple words
It's hard at first but you have to
To set things right you take charge

A sister I could of lost
A moment I'll never forget
The best day of my life
Only took ten days to come

It lasted forever and on to now

Author notes

This fight really happened between me and my best friend. We still feel like sisters and we haven't fought since. That was our first and last fight and my advice to everyone if you didn't catch it in the poem is that it may seem like in time it will be easier to call but it get's harder. She was scared to call me and I was scared to call her. After ten of the worst days of my life I finally got up the courage to call.

It's not easy but it's nopt suppose to be. If you really like them as a friend you need to call. Just don't wait as long as I did, it could be too late.

That is really annoying you should still call her or something because sometime in school it's harder to forgive friends.

My friends and I aren't on non-speaking terms... except this one b-I mean girl (Let's call her Q)... when I try to talk to her she gets so immature, saying to the nearest person,"Did you hear something? 'Cause I sure didn't..." and never looking me in the eye, things like that, and it's INFURIATING!
Sorry, I had to vent there
But anyway...*coughs* Good luck in the contest.
