Twirling in limbo neath heaven's halo
Soon to release its beautiful secret
Butterfly! translucent colors aglow
Rosebuds: Mysterious, tear shaped green jewel boxes
Dew and wind-kissed, nurtured by mother earth
Then one morning, beautiful to behold
Roses! The air filled with fragrances and mirth!
Cherubs: Sleeping innocence in satin cradles
A God sent miracle for life to mold
One future day from a lifetime of love
Adult! Life's story completely told!
Life: Cocoons and rosebuds and sleeping cherubs
Miracles all making this life ours
This is God's promise to everyone
Lovely secrets, rose gardens... Angels choirs

the rising and bursting forth of God's tiny masterpieces times ten billion or more all over the world at precise moments and they actually believe in evolution and accidental creations by big bangs....ah well they have never studied the different intricate patterns in every Queen anns lace....or considered that what came from one cell had to have had something to create the one cell it came from......lovely work a classic worthy of immortal collections...Artis

this was so beautiful susan. i agree with concrete angel, beautiful picture and the poem has so much beauty in every word and even more when reading between the lines. i loved when you said
"Soon to release its beautiful secret"
"Rosebuds: Mysterious, tear shaped green jewel boxes
Dew and wind-kissed, nurtured by mother earth"
and especially:
"Life: Cocoons and rosebuds and sleeping cherubs"
cuz it brought the poem together so nicely
awesome poem susan

Susan, on other boards my symbol is a monarch butterfly. I have alway envied them the freedom they have. The mystery of them, the beauty. This poem is as beautiful as the butterfly you talk about.

Boy do I love that first stanza! All God's creations are what makes it happen. You are so right. For all of it is part of the whole, the same essence that nurtures life.
Wonderful, uplifting poem, Susan.

Fabulous imagery. Wonderful poem! It's amazing how cocoons and rosebuds hide such beautiful treasures. If only your positive outlook on life could spread across the country like a warm sunrise.

Excellent!
Very beautiful and inspirational. You took the simple things in nature and life and turned them into a "masterpiece" with your words. Very well expressed, lovely images created. Thank you for sharing a wonderful write.

Cocoons bring forth butterfly babies and we bring forth our own babies all beautiful to the parents. Nature is beautiful and most things in nature are too. This poem is beautiful and awesome; it is a splendid write that I really like.

I like the different staccato (is that the right word?) in this - its like you have to stop after a word and absorb it in rather than a full sentence or a stopping at the end of aline - I think this method really brings home the words that you highlight - cocoon, rosebuds, sleeping cherubs - Oh, how I long for those upcoming days here - granted we need the snow and 3 days straight of snow is awesome - and 3 days more will realy make those rosebuds blossom brilliantly - just like your poem! thanks for letting me know of this (you are on my fav- just haven't been reading as much as I should :-) ) Beautiful!
-
