good evening. my name is elizabeth, and i'll be your poet tonight.
what can i get for you? our special tonight is confusion. however, you'll see old favorites on the menu:
courage, tears, heartbreak, happiness...
and my favorite, unconditional love.
do you think you could find it in yourself to set yourself free from society's endless constriction?
is there a way for me to make you realize that no one can tell you who you love,
and that following your heart can lead you to nirvana that you've never even thought existed?
and trusting in yourself can leave you happy like you've never been before, but only you can choose that path...
i am your waitress,
i am your priestess
i'll bring you your dreams
on a platter of gold
i am your heartbeat,
i am your concrete
i'll build a foundation,
provide you a home...
i suppose i couldn't. i suppose you're just so set in your words and your ways that you'll never open your eyes.
or your heart. to me. or would you? i know you love me, i just don't understand
why you feel the need to love me and then reject me. i never knew hypocrisy could hurt this bad.
but something's got to change, 'cause all of these love songs are breaking my heart and tearing me apart...
again, i feel unsteady.
so kick me when you're ready.
it's not like i've never
been brushed off before...
my heart is racing
but yours is disgracing
the creed that i live by:
love, freedom, and truth...
i love you, poet, i could spend all day listing reasons. and if i thought it would help, i would do it.
why do you insist on making this so complicated?
but i love you. with every breath of air and note of song, with every word of poetry, every leap of faith
i love you, with every tear, every heartbeat, every moment- i love you with all that i am.
and i believe this would be beautiful beyond words, but it's up to you now...
and i am your waitress
i am your princess
i'll crown you with petals
and you'll be my king
oh, i am your waitress
i am your songstress
i'll drown you in love songs
and teach you to sing...
i'll get you your water so you've got a minute to decide what you'd like...
