little is known to us
what each day will bring
is a mystery... all unknown
yet sometimes
we are standing at the edge
of the most wonder full times
we will ever know
and we are unaware.. even miserable
yet it lingers... so close
the distance of a single breath
sometimes.. a single word away from us
then... in a moment
fate is upon us
and everything we knew is changed
our lives rearranged
and now it seems
as if every ray of the sun
is directed to us..
for our pleasure and delite
and all our fear and dread
pass away..
and become our history
far away.. soon forgotten
this can happen
first in our minds.. as a vision
then in our dreams
and finally... in reality
now a part of our life
i have seen it
experienced it
i believe it with all my soul
have faith for the unknown
and that... my fearful friends
is the wonder of life
and the hope to go on for another day
the day... we do not know
"tomorrow"
keep this in your mind
and close to your heart
and never despair... completely
for tomorrow may bring a wondrous day
if we believe... in the power
of a "DREAM"

Yes my friend,
You, your self has been a dream come true, to me.
This is so beautiful and very true.
I believe as long as we can hold on to our dreams, then there is always hope, and hope is something we all should never let go of.

Hi Joyce
You always say the nicest things
I just opened the door, so someone could step thru
You only needed a little help
Your dreams were there in you, all along
Be blessed in all you do

Returning my hoodwink?!
Oh wow. Thank you ever so much for leaving this in your hood-wink. I absolutely loved this, and would very much like to ask your permisson, to add it to my favorites. This is very touching, heartfelt, and thought-provoking. This has a much brighter light than what I am used to writing, but it still provides the reader with a powerful impact.
Thank you, for your kind words in yoru hood-wink. Have a wonderful day.

Hi My friend
Which is your first name from above
Thank you for reading me
and yes you can add this as a favorite
I will go back and read you, and add you as a favorite
Some thoughts for you in your youth
I used to write on paper,
what I wanted my life to look like
Then I would write goals and a plan to change, one thing
that would take me just a little closer to what I was seeing
I did this for fifteen years
One day, I was sitting in the study af a large home
and reliezed, I was living exactly the way I had written
back in the day when the best thing I had
was a little junk car, and a small trailer
I even found a woman to adore me
Just as I had written so many years before
We become, what we believe
so think good thoughts, do the work
and find your dream

I love this poem, thank you for sharing. A part me feels i should let the dream of family life as my ideal fade away. Its not like a career or an obtainable goal I can work towards. In this arena god is in controll and I must trust in that. But my dreams are so precious, and something I see so many others take for granted, use and even abuse, there familys and good men get treated like there lesser than by selfserving women, and I know I could be a great wife, If only...but still reality sets in and I once again find myself a single, mother of 3, 2 with special needs and not much more then life experiance working for me. I see the life I live and I realize that I have becomme the woman that other ppl. look at and secretly say, at least Im not her...
I dont want to be that woman I want to be a sorce of strength not weekness..any way, this poem inspired me to tell you all these secrets in the life of gg, so thats why you remain my favoriate poet! God bless you.
Oh, thanks for reading me. -

My Friend
I read you comment some time ago
I wanted to think on this
No man has to do more than read your words
poured out here on these pages to see who you may be
Mark my words, there is someone right now wishing the same thoughts
just waiting to discover you as his dream.
A good man will love you complete with kids
Compermise nothing and move foward in faith
You are an undescovered treasure, please remember

What a wonderful way to think. You have once again penned something that is so uniquely you. The hope that you have laced into the words giving them so much more meaning. The flow is a calming balm to a soul that is weary offering hope and a dream. Well done.

Hi Shadow
I have spent most of my life chasing one dream or another. Some have been fruteful, some cost me everything. None the less, I believe in tomorrow, as my words say. Tomorrow may be exciting.
Thank you for liking my thoughts, Rick

Living with illness makes me appreciate every day for what it is, but I also find myself a lot of the time locked in a darkness that won't budge, sure it is a combination of medication and emotions I have of having been almost robbed of 5 years of my life... I want so much to see the wonderment your eyes see, but to me I have been somewhat blinded by it all..... this is inspirational to say the least..... well done hun

This is true
Without a dream we will perish beneath the drudgery of everyday life. We must never give up our dream-to give up our dream is to give up hope.
Life can be a wonder!
Thank you for sharing such beautiful thoughts.
I read your words and am reminded once again that I can go on living.
Smile,
Judy

Thank you for reading this
I am humbled that you can find some measure of hope in my words
If I did not have somthing greater then today to look for,
I would quickly become a memember of the living dead,
that mark each day by the calender, and not tommrows promis
It is up to me, to say which way the arrow will go
I point the bow

This is really a neat poem Rick... thanks for sending me the link to it! I'm glad I clicked!
I've found.. fear is nothing more or less than simply being afraid of fear itself... hope that makes a little sense... but in my little warped mind it makes perfect sense... I've found that at times you just have to DO despite having sweltering fear... like when I went in to my first house fire... it was unknown... I was afraid... then I had to ask... of WHAT excatly?
As far as the dream part... dreams ARE rather lovely and give us something to hope for... something to 'keep us going'... but I konw all too well that they can come and take over a person's life and lead them to make some really BAD choices... I learned that the HARD way...
Anyway... this is a lovely piece... I love the ending!!!!

I like your thoughts on fear
I think you are correct. I know a little about Fire Fighting
If you did that, you should be proude of your self
There is a form of a proof in that adventure, that you now owne
As for Dreams
In real life they should be part of a goal and well thought out. They should have a plan and be accompanied by action.
They should never lead to desaster, but I know they do sometimes
Yhank you for your thoughtfull comment

Sometimes we look to closely to our feet and forget to look up at the horizen.
Today is always reality, in the distance is the place we may be.
Please have faith and Pray
We can not do sin as we pray. In that moment we are safe.

there is always hope. Always a prayer for a greater tomorrow. But we should love today to the fullest for we never know if tomorrow comes.Wouldnt it suck to miss out todays love in hope to improve it tomorrow? I would rather and med the wounds and pain through a difficult time then to let go and never wake up. SO what I am saying is.. If I love you today, we argue, it is better to forgive and love , then not to wake up tomorrow and nothing but lost words never said.
your great love ya

This is another great piece by you. You never cease to amaze me. Such a intelligent and powerful message through the lines of this work of art. I relate very well to this one. I am quite the dreamer, and lately my life has changed alot.. Back and forth things have been going. I am just holding on for the ride and waiting for tomorrow to come before worrying about it. Superb job.

Yes sir we think alike in alot of ways. I know you told me of some of your troubles... it is nice to know that through it all you hold on to a hope for brighter tomorrows...it will pull you through...Trina.

This is profound, and the only reason for some of us with less than perfict lives to go on. Nice job.
