Republican Whores

Missing image
Fuck American politicians and their cheap, slutty ways,
those western whores whose thirst is unquenchable,
whose leaders rule with frat house maturity
and lie to their people at every turn.

They are twenty dollar call girls
without a phone or front teeth,
going door to door begging mercy
while spreading disease.

Their infectious lust grips most they touch
only to be shunned upon re-acquaintance,
treated like a stranger on a street corner
with their hands out for payment for services not rendered.

like  addicts they roam,
turning allies into enemies,
turning the willing into the wanting,
turning the worlds eye toward their shame.

Author notes

This is how I feel about American politicians, not the general public. There is a history of indiscretion and backstabbing among high level U.S. government employees. I( see it in the news daily and so does the rest of the world. Americas people deserve better.

lol, yes we do deserve better. our electoral college for one needs to go so the people can put who they want in the presidency instead of 300 corrupt electors choosing. but that is a long sad topic for me. so i will just say that i like this poem, not to bash-y and flows nicely and all that jazz. nice work.

This sounds a lot like a debate we got in in my Global Issues class shortly before break. I and completely on your side with this. The way the politicians are handling the situation the US is in right now is completely insane. I mean, they're spreading nothing but lies, Bush, the biggest pig of them all is being accused of seeping information about CIA operatives, many of them are leaving the office out of pure shame. That last one alone has to say something. If a politician leaves the office in shame of another politician, you know someone is fucking up. And then we think that we're stable enough to march into some other country and force our views on them. It's bullshit. This is a seriously awesome write, and I hope that it makes people think as it did me.

A whore has more integrity than these varmints because a whore's, shall we say, talents.... are specifically sought after... and not FORCED on the unsuspecting. IN other words... you know up front you are going to get screwed because that is what you are there for where as politicians will screw you HARD from behind when you aren't looking... cosmicly speaking

PS... the only difference between the DEMS and REPUBS is that the REPUBS are in control and the DEMS aren't. A POWER JUNKY is still a junky no matter what side of the fence they claim to be getting their fix. Good job! Worth a clap at least.

Good message. It seems very angry (stating the obvious, i know). All politicians are corrupt to some degree, but i'm of the opinion that the Bush Admin have taken it to a new low. I wonder what will happen first? Nuclear war or bankruptcy?

A well written write which boldly declares the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth about American politics. It is possible to love America ,love her people but be astonished that Bush is even still in office after negating the lives of those lost in Katrina let alone this catastrophe that he is fuelling worldwide for oil.Anyone wishing to debate this point please read the autobioraphy of Storming Norman himself,Schwarzkopff, it was printed 1996,in that book is the blueprint for the war in Iraq followed by the next stage Iran. The irony is that everyone who backs Bush will be poisioned as fast or as slowly as those that didn`t vote for him.Tests start on nuclear bombs to see if they are suitable to drop on Iran June 3rd 2006.Anyone who thinks he or she will not ultimately be affected by the toxins released into our air, seas and soil is mistaken. The final irony is when we are all being ravaged by radiation sickness, Bush fans and no fans alike, bush himself will be in a cozy bunker with air conditioning and supplies. If I had points left to applaud I would clap til the clapometer broke. At the end of the day there is only one person whose opinion matters in all of this, the man with the finer on the red button.Lets not all spend what time we do have left debating, lets mardi gras til kingdom come, dear poets, those of us that care and understand are negatin the time we have left and the war mongers are just fine, they feel great, they ot control, yeah, off a runaway horse.

I totally agree but I fell that ALL governments are corupt. they all lie and cheat. They cover up and sweep things under the carpet. In sept last year George Bush said that if they introdused an imunisation program for avion flu, tose who did not comply would be put into camps until they did. Free country huh!!

    Explosivly truthful

Yes, in contradiction to a few opinions placed here, I agree with your views on American politicians 100,000%. I believe it is a governmental prerequisite to know how to lie, cheat, steal, and talk your way out of any situation. This is extremely truthful, a smack in the face really, with a long overdue message. I tip my hat to you kind sir, and send my thanks to you for voicing an opinion many have, but even more are afraid to share.
Republicans, democrats, the government in general; they are all cheats and filthy backstabbers. No matter whose side they claim to be on in order to sell American people their half-shod ideas, once they hold the power, the only side they're on is their own. A hearty congratulations, and a last farewell, for I take my leave now.

My thanks to "Ogreatbaldone" for drawing my attention to this piece. Whilst I feel the text could do with a bit of strict grammatical overhauling, I can't fault the message. It is indeed sad that the policies of your government for the past 40 years or so have earned the USA more and more enemies. It is only since the accession of Bush and his cronies that the process of making enemies has really escalated and now, as well as traditional enemies (the Arab world, Latin America, Russia), the USA can add most of Europe to the list. Very soon, America's only friend will be Israel. And with a friend like that, you don't need enemies. Applause, dearest.

I figured you chose the party description due to their current political station. The write itself actually could apply to any political party anywhere and pretty much throughout free world history. I wonder what kind of writes would be available past or present from those who lived under kings, tyrants and dictators who destroyed the writes and eliminated the opposition. I bet some of those would have been outstanding to read. I liked your analogies and comparisons. They gave an apt description of corruption in high places. However any write like this does illicit a spiritual side as well. Any time a poet or writer can point out wrong, indifference, injustice, falsehood, and shame it brings the obvious conclusion to bear that there must be an ABSOLUTE VALUE to judge these things by or they would not be wrong. The penetrating light then turns to shine upon the writer himself who has declared the injustice, and the light asks. "What source did he or she use to determine what caring, justice, truth, and integrity are, and why are they more valuable than their counterparts?" In other words to declare injustice and inequality there has to be a measuring stick that determines when something has been violated. In the free world that stick cannot be the collective mind because it can change all the time. So what measuring stick did the writer use to declare there has been a violation? Great write and just some rambling observations. Be well. RC

We get what we choose and are willing to accept. If we choose to be deceived or fall for tricks, we deserve what we get. I almost never hear Bush speak the truth. That seems to be an important key. It seems that more people are realizing that Bush is a liar and not a very good one.

Hmmmm. I was a Republican most of my life, but when the radical right zombiezed and destroyed it, I switched parties. I loathe and despise Republicans, in most cases. I do not agree with your comments re politicians in general though. I think there are some really good people who are politicians (especially among the Democrats), and Senator Chuck Hagel and Senator Lindsay Graham aren't too bad as far as Republicans go. The big problem is not them, it's Bush and the oil companies that own him. Since I hate Republicans, I can't disagree with most of your poem, but I don't agree with everything as stated above.

In any case, keep on writing. It's cathartic and gets the bile out of your system.

    Interesting concept.

In the context that you are writing about the politicians, well I must say we sure have gone way down the tube. But I would change the title to Political whores because the ones we hear the most about in the news is the girlfriends of Democrats. This does not mean that the Republicans don't have girlfriends either. I do vote Republican most of the time and this could make a lot of women not to mention their men mad. You have to read this in order to see the context. I do but I think you know what I mean.

You certainly are entitled to your opinion. Not defending anyone but try to see that both sides are whores. The ones in control just have the purse strings is the difference. When you have to go way back for either party ( and I mean way way back ) then no one is being served right. As an American I see more of the anger than you do and I also saw the apathy everyone hated Bush but did they vote ? No they didn't. So we get what we deserve. Whether that is current leader or some of the " geniuses " we have had in the past...Remember Carter ?

Ummmm.. you used the Whore word??? I'm gonna tell O-o

I must agree with you in this, Terry. Politicians are the bane of our civilization, in my opinion. I think we ought to dump the whole bunch and start over again... the way our country was meant to be governed. We'd lose a little maybe, but it couldn't be worse than it already is and starting from scratch is seldom a bad thing.

I'm not a Democrate, don't wanna be. I don't know if I'd call myself Republican, either. All I know is I'm not a bleeding heart liberal and i'm not a war monger.

Now to get back to your poem.... pretty good, Terry.. I spotted a few minor errors that can easily be edited.. but you know that already....don't ya??

I think you did a great job getting youe message across and probably speak for many.
