Loves Beam

A wanting heart, I know I have
An empty heart it seems
A heart that love has left behind
Waiting for love’s next beam

My heart is true, and open wide
It seeks another lost soul
Oh beam, please guide a wanting heart
To pass by this open hole

Oh, wanting heart, please go away
Find yourself another prey
For I see another wanting heart
The beam just shined my way

    This one is stunning

Love poetry is something I have a weakness for. Not that long ago I prayed for it, now I have it and I am the happiest person on earth.

It comes our way when it sees fit and will not allow us to dictate and it is for this reason that I enjoy to read about love.

Everyone experiences it differently and it gives me insight into how it feels for others.

A well written piece. The reference to a beam reminds me of a book i have read recently, but i cant place it. Good luck in the contest.

    Excellent Writing

Like most of them, this poem is beautiful and wonderful -- and the last thing here I ever would have expected to find coming from Iraq --Ellis
