There are scars that we should not bear
Hidden so deep we never see that they're there
And adults will keep thinking we're blind from the truth
About the war that we're living, yeah, we're living it too
Children know the difference of right and wrong
The wanting for murder to end and wars to be gone
Yet still they all look at us with thoughts of deceit
We are the future and yet they hide everything
We know the difference between the truth and a lie
We all know this story, it's a child's lullaby
And adults will never know that it was truly I
I who wrote this story, it's my lullaby
Yet our peace we dream can't ever be won
For we have to pay for what the past left undone
Wars we must finish and lies we must tell
Now we all know the true meaning of Hell
Try to look at it through our own eyes
Eyes that see beyound all their tries
Tries to keep the truth from our mind
But we all know that story, it's out lullaby
And still those scars are so deep inside
That we don't even see them for such a long time
Then it's too late and the past can't be changed
The lies are our truths and it's the past left to blame
So late, too late so we'll all sing
And then we repeat all of the things
That in the end we hated for all of our lives
We know that story, a childs lullaby

Yeah.
This is so very true.
I love the lines :
Yet still they all look at us with thoughts of deceit
We are the future and yet they hide everything
I have always felt that adults underestimate children. We know more than they think.
I love this piece, it really got me thinking.
Thank you for entering and good luck!! =] -
