I pray for peace my Lord for my fellow man,
in your name so they may understand.
Your great pain and also life sacrifice,
you've given us more than we deserve of life.
A Father's love for his only son so pure,
sacrificed in pain he had to face,endure.
A gift so precious like no other received,
forgave our sins,caused a mother's grief.
I had no right or did I expect this so great,
and I pray you'll know I do appreciate.
The tears of the Trinity shed not in vain,
for his seat right side of the Lord he reigns.
Praise I send up of sheer loving gratitude,
yet beg in truth for a peaceful interlude.
Mankind is so blind and unkind to each other,
let peace reign spread it's heavenly cover.
I pray unto you in the most Holy Trinity,
forgive our trespasses,let love reign free.

Fantastic poem suseann, I absolutely loved this, my favourite lines were:

beautifully written poem, Carole...how did I miss this one?
I may have commented to you once before, and I know I certainly have to others that I was once told that all poems are prayers, and this certainly is a poem-prayer, spiritual and inspirational to every sense. there isn't a thing I would suggest as to change in this poem.
