I’ve seen people building houses
For people they don’t know
I’ve seen a soldier make that sacrifice
So another could go home
I’ve seen a child hand out joy
Like candy from a store
There’re not just angels among us
There is a angel in us all
I’ve seen a mans greatness
And a woman standing tall
I know we have it in us
And one day we’ll be called
Now it’s been said that we’re all made
In the image of our God
And somewhere up in heaven
Angels fly among the stars
But I say they're here on earth
Living in our hearts
They’re not just among us
There is a angel in us all

Hi charlie,
Long time no hear! I just stopped by to hi and see what you were up to. I was glad to read your home and safe anyway.
I like this poem very much, you have a big heart especially when it comes to the poor children of this world. Good luck my friend and hope to read more later.

excellent
hey this is really cute, awwesome write, I agree with you I believe there is an angel within us all. Wonderful job you have done. -
This is another wonderful and insightful poem about people who give of themselves. i would not want to offend in any way but noticed that the last stanza should have been 'their' and they're. In the earlier portion angle is used where I believe you meant angel. It is a great piece and don't change anything other than the spelling. RC

Inspiring poem, giving pause for thought!
This poem is so very sweet, it has a strength threaded through it whilst at the same time it shines with the gentleness of a soul who looks for the good in all. You mentioned in your author's notes the children on the streets in Iraq... my heart goes out to any child that has seen the horrors of war, it is something that will be seared on their hearts and minds for the rest of their lives.
Thank you for writing this and for sharing it with us all.

Nice subject to write about. Well done little angel

I also believe there are angels among us. Not nessecarily sent from above or with hidden feathery wings, but selfless people with hearts of gold who help and bring hope and expect nothing in return. And thats the feeling I get from your poem. Its nice to be reminded that not everyone in the world is terrible
Beautifully penned. x x x x -
