I sit in the shadows of lost memories
Drifting away into morbid depression
As if an avalanche of self pity
Left on my soul an everlasting impression
Afraid of living like this, no sun
I only look back on those days of fun
I weep in the darkness of temptation
Believing that you still love me
But how can you continue to push me away
Can't you let stray thoughts be
The voices inside your head can't see
That you and me are meant to be
I wake up from this dream into a nightmare
Day after day waiting for you to come back
Like waiting for the sun to rise on a cloudy day
Strength to move on I regrettably lack
In the distance a light in which never to be reached
The walls of my heart have been breached
So take me back into your arms once more
I'll show you what you looking for
