Wingersheik

The wind bit back
a provoked attack
not a desire
a desperation
a cancer, controlled yet relentless

It was cold on the stone
the ocean calm
but not me
I was a leaf in a hurricane
it'd been a long time
delicate and nervous
a fine combination

Words were traded
but I don't remember
were they true or simply impressionistic
it's tough to tell when you only remember a feeling

    You imply expectations crash
    in words said rash
    blown more by winds
    than said from within.
