I get lost in those simple words that I find so profound
My haunting tears hit the ground
Promising myself I will not break down
Those haunting tears hit the gravely ground
These memories of her mixed with tears fall into forever
Those blind barriers blocking happiness alone I cannot sever
Speaking ever so softly, I hope only angels will hear
My pain is too harsh, let me die before I shed another tear
Remembering back, and how I could have helped her cope
Wiping a tear away, I could have been her one true hope
Haunted forever by her words, to this day I think to be profound
"Just ignore me, eventually I will disappear."
That I did - Now I watch as her casket lowers into the ground...

Oh! My gosh!
I hope this isn't true!We should always try to take time for our friends. That's what friends are for.I knew a girl from highschool who took her own life when she was in her twenties.I felt so badly, especially when her sister said to me "She had tried to call you several times, but you were never home." I had no clue that she was so depressed and even despondent.Terrible!
This is a very thought provoking poem.Keep writing, Little poet.Someday, you might be published.

A remarkable poem. So many around us seem lost of their hope. It shows the depth of your character that you cared to write this.

Hey LP -
I am sorry to read this. I hope it is not a true reflection of what you are going through right now and just a reflection of things past.
I am still here - right where I have always been if you need to chat.
